American Intonation: The Foundation for Clear Speech
Most accented speech results from applying melody and rhythm rules from one’s first language. This unit teaches the essential skill of American intonation, using our proprietary Speech Stairs™ Strategy to build fluency and cultural correctness. Team members will eliminate monotone patterns, excessive speed, or forceful delivery and develop a smooth, engaging flow for confident interactions. Within three weeks, many learners experience significant improvements in clarity and self-assurance.
Sound Like a Leader
Your team will learn how to project leadership through speech by mastering advanced intonation and conversational strategy. They’ll eliminate habits that reduce credibility, like up-speak, filler words, or vague vocabulary, and replace them with authoritative language, strategic pauses, and more polished delivery techniques. The course teaches how to sound knowledgeable, confident, and trustworthy.
How to Speak with a Stronger, More Powerful Voice
Many cultures speak from a higher pitch or nasal resonance, which can appear weak or uncertain in American business settings. This section teaches how to access deeper vocal resonance for a strong, professional vocal tone. Participants will understand where to place sound for maximum projection, clarity, and confidence, eliminating weak, thin, or nasal-sounding speech.
Diaphragm Breathing for Speaking Clarity and Comfort
Often, accented speakers who speak too fast or with monotone delivery breathe shallowly from the chest. This section teaches how to breathe from the diaphragm, helping participants manage speaking pace, reduce anxiety, and maintain vocal strength. With proper breath control, speech becomes more fluid, intentional, and impactful.
Pronouncing American Consonant Sounds
While many assume an accent stems from “wrong sounds,” most need to learn just a few, like /th/, which don’t exist in many languages. Others, like /f, v, w, r, p, b/, require more lip and jaw movement than some cultures use. This course provides full instruction on all American consonants, helping team members articulate more clearly, especially in high-stakes communication like presentations or meetings.
Mastering American Vowel Sounds
Clear vowel sounds and oral resonance are key to sounding culturally fluent. This section covers every American vowel, with special emphasis on difficult sounds like vocalic /R/ and /L/. Learners will place sounds correctly in the mouth (not in the nose or throat), resulting in professional, clear, and culturally appropriate English.

Once accent habits are reduced, your team will learn how to shine in public speaking. This final unit focuses on presentation delivery, including storytelling techniques, slide organization using modern design principles, handling unexpected questions, and applying body language strategies for confidence and credibility, both in-person and online.
